Check the photos of my niece, Grace, who lives in Anchorage, Alaska. She definately got her good looks from her mother, as her father (my brother) is nothing to write home about.
Well, we finally succeeded in getting our old asphalt driveway out and replaced with a concrete driveway. They finsihed this afternoon and it looks great. Check out the photos.
We spoke with Sirlina tonight, and we're heading to Chicago to visit with her and to go to her ultrasound appointment. The appointment is on Oct. 24 and we'll be flying out the day before and hopefully meeting her and her son for dinner, then staying through Saturday afternoon and getting to know them. We're obviously looking forward to it quite a lot.
Well, we finally got the call we've been waiting for today. Melissa from Kinship Center called and said that a mother in the Chicago area was considering us to adopt her baby. Marnia and I talked with her for a bit tonight and really seemed to hit it off well. She even laughed at a few off my jokes!
She ended the conversation by saying that she was going to choose us to adopt her child!!! How amazing is that! Obviously, we're thrilled and are really looking forward to getting to know her over the next couple of months prior to her due date at the end of January.
Well, I'm going to go try and sleep now.
WOO HOO!!!
