Thursday:
So, I get home late Thursday night (around midnight) after STARBRIGHT's big fundraiser dinner and we've got a leaking water heater. Goody. Can't drain it because the drain is clogged from sediment in the bottom of the tank. End up calling a plumber for a middle of the night call.
Friday:
Go down to Home Depot and buy a very cool tankless water heater. It's more expensive than a traditional model, but takes up way less space (no tank) and uses less energy. Start installing
Saturday:
Still installing the tankless heater.
Saturday night:
Everything connected, but no hot water. Nada. Zip. None. Spend two hours troubleshooting. Remove the tankless heater so it can be returned. Cordless drill dies while removing bolts that were holding the water heater up.
Sunday morning:
Go down to Home Depot again and buy a traditional water heater. Install it. Installation goes well, only a couple of trips back for parts.
Sunday afternoon:
Furnace not working.
Sometimes home ownership sucks.
