Reach for the sky
Damon: I want to touch the moon.
Damon: Mommy, I want to touch the moon.
Mommy: The moon's too far away to touch.
Damon (with emphasis): I want to touch the moon Mommy!
(repeat this about 50 times in 10 minutes)
Daddy: Damon, you want to touch the moon?
Damon: I can't reach the moon Daddy. It's too high.
The moral of the story is that he really does listen, but you've gotta smack him on the side of the head once in a while to get past the skip.
